Press Release Summary = Further criticism of home information packs (Hips) has been
made, most recently from the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA)says
National Homebuyers.

Press Release Body =

According to the NAEA, the roll out of Hips will \'damage\' the housing market by
acting to reduce the number of properties available for sale.

Particularly affected will be the \'see what happens\' group of sellers, which react
to local market movements and act on whims to put their homes on the market.

However, when - as seems certain - Hips are introduced, the fee associated with
putting houses up for sale will put a stop to this practise, the NAEA suggests.

As a result, fewer houses will be available to buyers, leading to a market distortion.

\"Last Tuesday a House of Lords Select Committee expressed considerable concern over
the incoming home information pack regulations,\" commented Peter Bolton King, chief
executive of the NAEA.

\"This survey again reiterates the damage this initiative will have on the wider
housing market, one of the many concerns which have resulted in the NAEA and many
other professional bodies to call on the government to back down, even at this late
stage.\"

Director of the UK\'s leading fast sale property company Julian King says: \"It\'s been
interesting to track the calls from customers wanting to sell their property quickly
who are aware of the requirement for Hips packs.

\"Firstly consumers were totally unaware of Hips, followed by confusion and finally
distress.

\"The list of information available and the initial outlay is causing thousands to
contact National Homebuyers.

\"We do not require a Hips pack to purchase any property and therefore we believe we
will be saving the UK home-seller millions of pounds over the coming years.\"
